About
The AEC Library plays a vital role in furthering the academic and research mission Assam Engineering College and has been able to cater to the need of creation and dissemination of knowledge for sustainable development. Since its inception in 1955, the library has been providing services that are comparable to any modern libraries in India. Besides holding an excellent print collection of over 64000+ volumes of books, it also provides access to e-books, e-journals in Engineering & Technology. The online journals and database are provided by e-ShodhSindhu consortium. Library users can access book database, e-journals and other e-resources from any terminal within the College Campus.
The library aims at developing as a state-of-the-art research library to encourage the researchers for pursuing their research towards the need of society today.

Assam Engineering College is one of the premier technical institutions of North East India. It has already completed sixty years of its glorious existence. The library has also been contributing greatly to fulfil the main objectives of its parent institution. The Central Library is one of the focal points of all user community of Assam Engineering College. The library is accomplishing its task of reaching out to its user community. The primary goal of the library is to provide access to information in all formats in order to support the teaching, learning, research and personal growth of its clients. At present, the library holds about 64000+ books, e-books and e-journals. Our success lies on its use by the academic community of Assam Engineering College Library.
